R-MC Baseball Ranked Ninth in Three National Polls

ASHLAND, Va. - The Randolph-Macon baseball team is ranked No. 9 in the three national Division III polls.

The Yellow Jackets moved up one spot in the poll. R-MC remained ninth in the Perfect Game poll. The Yellow Jackets moved from eighth to ninth in the American Baseball Coaches Association/Collegiate Baseball poll.

R-MC went 2-0 last week to extend its win streak to five. The Yellow Jackets swept an ODAC doubleheader this past weekend, winning 15-4 in the first game and 11-4 on Sunday. R-MC is now 13-4 overall and 4-0 in the ODAC, tied for first with Washington & Lee.

The Yellow Jackets has been ranked for 27 consecutive weeks, dating back to March 17, 2015.

Randolph-Macon has three road conference contests this week. The Yellow Jackets play at Virginia Wesleyan this afternoon at 3:30 p.m. before a doubleheader on Saturday at noon at Bridgewater.
