WASHINGTON, DC—The Randolph-Macon field hockey team slipped to 8-8 overall following this evening's 4-0 loss to Catholic University in our nation's capital.

The Jackets (8-8, 5-1 ODAC) were outshot 3-21 by the Cardinals in match-play. Olivia Newman (Orange, VA / Orange County), senior Lauren Seal (Orange, VA / Orange County), and junior Carrie Jacobs (Orange, VA / Orange County) accounted for all 3 Yellow Jacket shots. They each recorded 1 shot, 1 SOG respectively.

Newman also recorded 2 defensives saves alongside goalkeeper Steph Talley (Bordentown, NJ / Bordentown Regional) who tallied 12 saves.

The Yellow Jackets travel to Lexington, VA Saturday, October 26 to take on Washington & Lee in a 12:00 PM conference match.
