R-MC Men's Golf Maintains Fourth Place after Round 2 of ODAC Championship

WINTERGREEN, Va. - The Randolph-Macon men's golf team stayed in fourth place out of 11 teams Monday after the second round of the 2017 ODAC Championship on the Stoney Creek Golf Course.

The Yellow Jackets were also fourth following Round 1 on Sunday. The three teams ahead of R-MC are ranked in the Top 25 by Golfstat.com: No. 19 Guilford in first, No. 14 Washington & Lee is second and No. 24 Hampden-Sydney is third.

Junior Matthew McDonagh (Winston-Salem, N.C./Mount Tabor) was tied for 14th at 153 (72-81). He had a pair of birdies during his second round. Junior Kirby Struhar (Sterling, Va./Park View) was also tied for 14th at 153 (74-79). He also carded a pair of birdies on Tuesday. Freshman Alex Nelson (Weems, Va./Lancaster) shot 160 (83-77), followed by freshman Tom Schaffer (Collegeville, Pa./Pope John Paul II) at 171 (89-82) and sophomore Trey Razzetti (Glen Allen, Va./Benedictine) at 176 (79-97).

The third and final round is scheduled to be played on Tuesday, April 25.
