Camilliere, Adams Record 3 Points, R-MC Falls 9-8 to SU

WINCHESTER, Va. – R-MC men's lacrosse dropped a 9-8 decision to Shenandoah on Saturday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets came from behind to lead in the fourth quarter, but the Hornets scored the final three goals to take the contest.

Juniors Alex Camilliere (Huntingtown, Md./  Huntingtown) and Coleman Adams (Mechanicsville, Va./ St. Christopher's) led the Jackets, each with three points.

Shenandoah took a 1-0 lead before R-MC scored three straight goals. Freshman Colin DiSesa (Ashland, Va./ Hanover) scored two, while Camilliere added the third. Adams had two assists in the first quarter.

The Hornets took a 5-3 lead at halftime and kept the Yellow Jackets goalless in the second.

R-MC then scored three consecutive goals in the third period, as Camilliere, sophomore Lee Pratt (Winston-Salem, N.C./ Ronald Reagan) and senior Sam Mayer (Severna Park, Md./ Severna Park) all scored.

Senior goalie Brian Davies (Lynchburg, Va./ E.C. Glass) made 11 saves and picked up four groundballs.

R-MC (8-8, 4-4 ODAC) have locked up sixth place in the ODAC and will play at the #3 seed in the ODAC Tournament.

The Yellow Jackets will conclude the regular season with a road game against Washington and Lee on Saturday, April 29 at 12 p.m.
