  • Lutz Named To Scholar All-South Region Team

    Men’s Soccer senior Bryan Lutz (Fairfax, Va./W.T. Woodson) has been recognized as a top scholar-athlete by the United Soccer Coaches. Lutz was named to the 2017 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Men's Scholar All-South Region Team.
  • Lutz Honored As A Scholar All-American

    Men's Soccer senior Bryan Lutz (Fairfax, Va./W.T. Woodson) has been recognized as a top scholar-athlete in America by the United Soccer Coaches. Lutz was named to the 2017 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Men's Scholar All-America Third Team. It comes less than 24 hours after Lutz was named to the 2017 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Men's Scholar All-South Region Team. This is Randolph-Macon's third Scholar All-America selection in history. 
  • Three Men’s Soccer Yellow Jackets Honored By United Soccer Coaches

    Seniors Bryan Lutz (Fairfax, Va./W.T. Woodson) and Jacob McHugh (Aberdeen, Md. / West Nottingham Academy) as well as sophomore Anthony Astruc (Glen Allen, Va. / Benedictine) have been honored by the United Soccer Coaches by being named to the organization’s All-South Atlantic Region Third Team. It’s the first time any of the three are being honored by the United Soccer Coaches on a regional level.

  • Men’s Soccer Finishes The Season Ranked 10th in Regional Poll

    With the final rankings of 2017 out for Division III Men’s Soccer team, Randolph-Macon has completed its season and landed 10th in the South Atlantic Region poll. R-MC fought its way back into the Top 10 after falling out of the poll. The team was ranked highest during week six of the season when it was 8th in the South Atlantic poll.
  • Lutz Named To Academic All-District Team

    Men’s Soccer senior Bryan Lutz (Fairfax, Va./W.T. Woodson) has been recognized as a top scholar-athlete by the College Sports Information Directors of America. The group recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
  • Breslin and Torres Named To All-ODAC Tournament Team

    Junior goalkeeper Brian Breslin (Fairfax, Va./W.T. Woodson) and sophomore forward Christian Torres (Stafford, Va. / C.D. Hylton) were named to the 2017 ODAC Tournament All-Tournament team as announced by the league office Sunday afternoon.
  • Men’s Soccer Eliminated by Lynchburg In 3-2 Double-Overtime Loss

    Randolph-Macon and Lynchburg played a tight contest for 106 minutes, but the Hornets got the golden goal in the second overtime period to end R-MC’s season in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference semifinals on Saturday afternoon.  Randolph-Macon ends the season 14-3-1 overall, which is the team’s most wins since the 1994 season when R-MC went 14-5-1. A 6-2-1 conference finish is the best since 1999 when the team went 7-1-1 in the ODAC.
  • Time Set For Men’s Soccer Semifinal at Lynchburg

    The time for #4 Randolph-Macon men’s soccer match against #1 Lynchburg has been set. The Yellow Jackets will play the Hornets at 1:00 PM on Saturday afternoon.
  • Down For Much Of Match, Men’s Soccer Comes On Strong in Second Half

    It took 76 minutes for Randolph-Macon men’s soccer to get a score in its Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament Quarterfinal match. But a 77th minute penalty kick by senior Jacob McHugh (Aberdeen, Md. / West Nottingham Academy) reenergized the Yellow Jackets, who pushed another goal through to win the match 2-1 in front of a raucous homecoming crowd of nearly 1,000. R-MC now advances to the semifinal round against the #1 seed Lynchburg at LC next Saturday.
  • Game Time Set For Men’s Soccer ODAC Quarterfinal Match at Randolph-Macon

    The game time for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament match set to be played at R-MC has been determined. Kickoff will happen at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 28. The women’s soccer match that was originally set for 2:00 PM will slide to 12:00 Noon. Both matches will be played at the R-MC Soccer Field
  • Nelson Scores, But R-MC and Bridgewater Fight To Draw

    Randolph-Macon and Bridgewater both scored a single goal, but neither team could find the goal to win the game as the Yellow Jackets and the Eagles played to a 1-1 draw. It’s R-MC’s first draw of the season.
  • Hornets & Yellow Jackets Exchange PK’s, But Lynchburg Adds One More For 2-1 Loss

    Senior Jacob McHugh (Aberdeen, Md. / West Nottingham Academy) nailed Randolph-Macon’s first penalty kick opportunity of the year, but Lynchburg had one too and added a header into goal by a Hornet senior to doom the Yellow Jackets to a 2-1 loss.
  • Seniors Lead The Way With Two Goals In Final Regular Season Home Match

    Randolph-Macon’s seniors led the way for the team in their final regular season home match as both Jacob McHugh (Aberdeen, Md. / West Nottingham Academy) and Bryan Lutz (Fairfax, Va. / W.T. Woodson) scored for the Yellow Jackets. Sophomore Anthony Astruc (Glen Allen, Va. / Benedictine) added one and the bench added two more to notch the team’s 13th win of the season against Shenandoah 5-0.
  • Senior Night Festivities Set For Tuesday Night

    Randolph-Macon men’s soccer is preparing to welcome family, friends, alumni and fans to its 2017 Senior Night Festivities. Five seniors will be honored during the team’s Tuesday night match.

    Randolph-Macon’s Christian Torres (Stafford, Va. / C.D. Hylton) was named Player of the Week as announced by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Monday afternoon. The announcement caps off a stellar week for the Yellow Jackets which included two critical ODAC wins.
  • Torres Gets The Golden Goal Against EMU 2-1

    Sophomore Christian Torres (Stafford, Va. / C.D. Hylton) found the golden goal with three minutes remaining in the first overtime period to secure R-MC’s victory 2-1. The Yellow Jackets move to 12-1 on the season and 5-1 in conference play.
  • Yellow Jackets Tally Ninth Shutout, Defeat Marlins 4-0

    The Randolph-Macon men’s soccer team recorded its ninth shutout and 11th win of the 2017 campaign with a 4-0 victory over the Virginia Wesleyan Marlins in a Tuesday afternoon Old Dominion Athletic Conference match in Ashland.
  • Men’s Soccer Clicks On All Cylinders, Beats Wasps 3-0

    All elements of Randolph-Macon’s game – from defense to offense to bench play – were on display in a Saturday afternoon match with Emory & Henry as the Yellow Jackets defeated the Wasps 3-0.
  • Lutz and Duffy Score in Men’s Soccer Ninth Victory

    Randolph-Macon scored in each half while only allowing one goal to Hampden-Sydney in a 2-1 victory Wednesday night. The win pushes R-MC to 9-1 on the season and 2-1 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play. The Yellow Jackets also moved up one spot in this week's United Soccer Coaches Division III South Atlantic Region poll to #9. The team has spent the last two weeks as #10.

    The Randolph-Macon men’s soccer team suffered its first setback of the season to No. 8 Washington & Lee, 3-2 on Saturday afternoon. The game was marked by a first half of defensive play which was then followed by a second half of intense offense by both teams.

  • Yellow Jacket Men’s Soccer Finds Golden Goal Against Catholic

    Senior Bryan Lutz (Fairfax, Va./W.T. Woodson) found the golden goal on a free kick from sophomore Anthony Astruc (Glen Allen, Va./Benedictine) in double overtime as the Yellow Jackets downed the Cardinals of Catholic University 1-0 Wednesday night. It was Lutz’s fifth goal of 2017 and Astruc’s second assist.
  • Men's Soccer Ranks Regionally With United Soccer Coaches

    With a 6-0 start to 2017, the Randolph-Macon men's soccer team cracked into the Top 10 in regional rankings by the United Soccer Coaches Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets checked in at #10 in the South Atlantic region of the poll, dated September 19.
  • Men’s Soccer Holds On Against St. Mary’s 3-2

    Randolph-Macon men’s soccer faced a tight contest with St. Mary’s (Md.) but were able to hang on to the victory in a Saturday evening tilt. The two goals scored against R-MC are the first two allowed by the team all year.
  • Ogletree Sends R-MC Men’s Soccer into Win Column

    It took an extra nine minutes past regulation for Randolph-Macon to get its fifth win of the season. Freshman Dylan Ogletree (La Plata, Md. / La Plata) beat the Stevenson defense in the 99th minute and pushed the ball into the right side of the net past Mustang keeper Jake Brown for the 1-0 victory.
  • Men’s Soccer Beats Cabrini 1-0

    The Yellow Jackets remain undefeated on the young season, winning at Cabrini Saturday afternoon, 1-0. It’s the best start for Randolph-Macon since 2005 when R-MC went 8-0 to begin the season.
  • Lutz Scores Twice as R-MC Men's Soccer Blanks Marymount

    Senior Bryan Lutz (Fairfax, Va./WT Woodson) tallied a pair of goals in the second half as the Randolph-Macon men's soccer team was victorious 2-0 at Marymount on Wednesday evening for its third straight shutout win.
