BRIDGEWATER, Va. – Randolph-Macon and Bridgewater both scored a single goal, but neither team could find the goal to win the game as the Yellow Jackets and the Eagles played to a 1-1 draw. It's R-MC's first draw of the season.

Randolph-Macon opened the scoring with a goal from senior Peter Nelson (Charleston, WV / George Washington) in the 24th minute of the first half. Nelson finished the goal from the top of the box to get the Yellow Jackets on the board first.

Randolph-Macon held the 15-1 advantage in shots during the first half. The team also drew four corner kicks compared to the Eagles' two.

Bridgewater got the equalizer in the 56th minute as a shot made it past junior goalkeeper Brian Breslin (Fairfax, Va./W.T. Woodson) to get BC on the board. Both teams took eight shots in the second frame

The two goals were the only two of the match as the teams played two extra periods before coming to the draw.

R-MC finished with 29 shots while Bridgewater took 11. The Yellow Jackets were led by sophomore Andrew Griggs (Galloway, N.J. / Absegami) who took seven shots with two coming on goal. Nelson also took five with his goal being the only shot on goal. The bench came up key with AJ Casarez (Virginia Beach, Va. / Landstown) taking five shots after subbing in. Four of his shots came against the keeper.

Breslin saved five other shots on the night, including four in the second half and one in the second overtime period.

Randolph-Macon finishes the regular season at 13-2-1 and 6-2-1 in ODAC play. The Yellow Jackets will hold the #4 seed in the ODAC Tournament and will host #5 seed Hampden-Sydney on Saturday. The match will take place on Homecoming weekend. Details on the match, including start time will be determined at a later time.
