R-MC Men's Swimming Takes Second at ODAC Relays

LEXINGTON, Va. - The Randolph-Macon men's swimming team finished second out of nine teams at the season-opening ODAC Relays.

The Yellow Jackets recorded 225 points to secure second place.

Junior Jordan Witherow (Mechanicsville, Va./Lee-Davis), freshman Victor Kontopanos (North Chesterfield, Va./Home School) and senior Ivan Fadeyev (Manassas, Va./Osbourn Park) took third in the 3 x 100 IM Relay in 2:54.84.

Sophomore Matt Howard (Fredericksburg, Va./James Monroe), Fadeyev and Witherow finished fourth in the 3 x 50 Butterfly Relay in 1:16.17.

Fadeyev, senior Alex Daube (Hampton, Va./Hampton) and Howard were fourth in the 3 x 50 Backstroke Relay in 1:19.13.

Daube, freshman Patrick Lancaster and Kontopanos took fourth in the 3 x 50 Breaststroke Relay in 1:28.56.

Fadeyev, Witherow, Kontopanos and Daube finished fourth in the 200 Yard Medley Relay in 1:44.69.

Randolph-Macon returns to action on Friday, Oct. 20 at Mary Washington at 5 p.m.
