    Randolph-Macon College had a school-record 190 student-athletes named to the 2016-17 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) All-Academic Team. The total surpassed the 170 honored in the 2015-16 academic year.

    Freshman women’s basketball player Kelly Williams (Garysburg, N.C./ Halifax Academy) was honored by being named to the WDIII News Freshman All-American Team. Williams has also picked up the ODAC Player of the Year, ODAC All-First Team, D3hoops All-South Region Rookie of the Year, All-South Region Second team and Richmond Times Dispatch Small College All-State Team.

    Four Randolph-Macon players scored in double figures, led by freshman Michal Ross (Glen Allen, Va./ Glen Allen), in #5 R-MC’s 69-60 loss to #1 Lynchburg in the ODAC semifinals on Saturday night. Ross scored 15 points and went 7 of 12 from the field. Randolph-Macon finishes the season 16-12 overall and 8-8 in the ODAC.
  • R-MC Women's Basketball Advances to ODAC Semifinals with 71-58 Win

    The Randolph-Macon women’s basketball team downed EMU 71-58 in the ODAC quarterfinals on Friday afternoon. Freshman Kelly Williams (Garysburg, N.C./ Halifax Academy) recorded her 22nd double-double of the season, scoring a game high 22 points and a grabbing a season best 22 rebounds in the win.

    Freshman Kelly Williams (Garysburg, N.C./ Halifax Academy) was named the ODAC Rookie of the Year and selected to the First Team All-ODAC. Junior Amber Lee (Rockville, Va./ Patrick Henry) joins Williams by being named to the Third Team All-ODAC. The All-ODAC teams are nominated and voted on by the ODAC coaches.

    Freshman Kelly Williams (Garysburg, N.C./Halifax Academy) scored a game-high 21 points and junior Amber Lee (Rockville, Va./Patrick Henry) added 14 as the fifth-seeded Randolph-Macon women's basketball team defeated No. 12 Hollins 65-44 Tuesday evening in Crenshaw Gymnasium in the first round of the 2017 ODAC Tournament.

    Freshman Kelly Williams (Garysburg, N.C./ Halifax Academy) scored a season high 30 points in the 77-63 victory over Hollins. R-MC concluded the season with a 14-11 record and 8-8 ODAC record. The R-MC women's basketball team secures fifth place and will host a first round playoff game against Hollins on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Crenshaw Gym.

    Junior Marisha Berry (Powhatan, Va./ Powhatan) hit a game winning three pointer with three seconds remaining in overtime to defeat ODAC leading Lynchburg, 77-75 on Saturday. Randolph-Macon (12-10, 7-7 ODAC) moves up to fifth in the standings with two ODAC games remaining while Lynchburg (18-5, 12-2) falls to second place.

    Junior Amber Lee (Rockville, Va./ Patrick Henry) scored twenty points and grabbed 15 rebounds in the 66-51 victory over Virginia Wesleyan. The R-MC women’s basketball team shot 46 percent from the floor in the convincing victory.
  • Williams Tallies 17th Double-Double, R-MC Falls to Guilford 59-55

    Freshman Kelly Williams recorded her ODAC leading 17th double-double with 23 points and 13 rebounds in the thrilling 59-55 loss to Guilford on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets trailed by seven at the half but were able to comeback in the second half and led late in the fourth quarter before the Quakers were able to close out the game.

    Freshman Kelly Williams (Garysburg, N.C./ Halifax Academy) registered her 13th double with 23 points and 11 rebounds in the 68-55 loss to Lynchburg on Saturday afternoon. The Yellow Jackets (9-7, 4-4 ODAC) fell to the Hornets, the 2016 ODAC Champs, (14-3, 8-0 ODAC), who remain in first place.

    The Randolph-Macon women’s basketball team bounced back with a 75-56 win over Shenandoah on Tuesday night. Junior Marisha Berry (Powhatan, Va./ Powhatan) led all scorers in the game with 17 points, she also added six steals, four assists and three rebounds.

    Amber Lee (Rockville, Va./ Patrick Henry) scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in R-MC women’s basketballs 91-82 loss to Virginia Wesleyan on Tuesday night. R-MC falls to 8-5 and 3-2 in the ODAC, while the Marlins improve to 8-5 and 3-2 in the ODAC.
  • Kelly Williams Named the USBWA DIII National Player of the Week

    Freshman women’s basketball player Kelly Williams (Garysburg, N.C./ Halifax Academy) was named the USBWA (US Basketball Writers Association) Division III National Player of the Week for her performance in the past two games. Williams was named the ODAC POTW for the third time this season on Monday. Each Tuesday, the USBWA is selecting men's and women's Division III National Players of the Week. This is the third season that the USBWA will recognize national players of the week from Division III.
