PHOENIX, MD – The Randolph-Macon College Women's Golf team improved on its first day total by two strokes as it closed out the Tignanelli Towson Invitational on Tuesday.
The Yellow Jackets, who were playing in the first ever tournament in program history, were paced by freshman Olivia Bowling who carded a team best 86 on day two, three strokes better than her first round score. Bowling wrapped up her first collegiate event with a 183.
Elizabeth Haycock of ODU and Harrin Lee of St. John's tied for the individual lead. Haycock took home first-place hardware based on the tiebreaker. Towson's Cassandra VanDyke tied with Delaware's Natalie Filler for third-place with VanDyke claiming the third-place trophy based on the tiebreaker.
Randolph-Macon College will be back in action when it travels to Washington and Lee for its Invitational starting on October 1st at Lexington Country Club.
