Bowling Named Rookie of the Year in the State of Virginia

ASHLAND, Va. – Olivia Bowling was named Rookie of the Year in the state of Virginia by the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID).

The award covers all levels of collegiate golf in the Commonwealth. Bowling was the only non-Division I athlete honored.

Bowling led the Yellow Jackets in scoring in six of the team’s seven events. The freshman from Charlotte Hall, Md., was medalist at the ODAC Championships and helped R-MC win the ODAC title in the program’s first year of existence. Bowling was First Team All-ODAC and ODAC Rookie of the Year.
