Bowling Leads after First Round of ODAC Championship

CONOVER, N.C. – Sophomore Olivia Bowling (Charlotte Hall, Md./St. Mary's Ryken) shot 77 to hold the individual lead after the first round of the ODAC Women's Golf Championship on the par-71 Jackson Course at the Rock Barn Golf & Spa.

Bowling shot 38 on the front nine and 39 on the back. She had three birdies, two on the front and one on the back. Bowling owns a two-stroke lead over Elizabeth Cheng of Hollins, who is ranked No. 20 in Division III.

The Yellow Jackets, ranked No. 48 in Division III, lead by five shots over Bridgewater in the team standings.

Sophomore Tracy Moriconi (Richmond, Va./St. Catherine's) is second on the team and tied for eight overall at 88, followed by freshman Jenny Jeu (Midlothian, Va./James River) tied for 10th at 90. Sophomore Rebecca Ream (York, Pa./York Country Day) and freshman Katie Raymond (Rice, Va./Fuqua) tied for 12th at 92.
