ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon sophomore Olivia Bowling (Charlotte Hall, Md./St. Mary’s Ryken) has been named ODAC Player of the Week for women’s golf for the third time this academic year.
Bowling placed second out of 51 individuals with a five-over 77 at the Randolph-Macon Invitational a week ago at the Hanover Country Club. She was one shot behind medalist Kelsie Carrafero of Methodist, who shot 76.
The Yellow Jackets finished third out of nine teams with a score of 357 and were three strokes out of second place. The event was reduced to one round due to inclement weather.
Bowling was twice named ODAC Player of the Week in the fall.
R-MC returns to action on April 12-13 at the Methodist Invitational in Fayetteville, N.C.
