Bowling Holds Three-Shot Lead after First Round of NYU Invitational

SUFFERN, N.Y. - Junior Olivia Bowling (Charlotte Hall, Md./St. Mary's Ryken) shot an even-round 72 to hold a three-shot lead after the first round of the NYU Invitational.

The Yellow Jackets are fifth out of 12 in the team standings. Host NYU holds the top spot, 13 shots better than R-MC.

Junior Rebecca Ream (York, Pa./York Country Day) was tied for 15th at 82, followed by sophomore Katie Raymond (Rice, Va./Fuqua) at 87, sophomore Jenny Jeu (Richmond, Va./St. Catherine's) at 92 and Danielle Calhoun (Colonial Heights, Va./Colonial Heights) at 95.

The second and final round will be played on Sunday.
