Bowling is Second after First Round of Yellow Jacket Invitational

MONTPELIER, Va. – Randolph-Macon junior Olivia Bowling (Charlotte Hall, Md./St. Mary's Ryken) is in second place in the individual standings out of 61 golfers after the first round of the Yellow Jacket Invitational at The Hollows Golf Club.

Bowling shot 76 and is one shot behind leader Hope Giordano of Kutztown University.

R-MC freshman Aven Oliver (Virginia Beach, Va./Norfolk Academy) was tied for 21st at 85, followed by junior Tracy Moriconi (Richmond, Va./St. Catherine's) and sophomore Katie Raymond (Rice, Va./Fuqua) at 86, junior Rebecca Ream (York, Pa./York Country Day) at 90 and senior Danielle Calhoun (Colonial Heights, Va./Colonial Heights) at 91.

The Yellow Jackets are seventh out of 10 in the team standings.

Round 2 will take place on Sunday, March 22 with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
