Bowling Finishes Third, R-MC Fifth in Yellow Jacket Invitational

MONTPELIER, Va. – Randolph-Macon junior Olivia Bowling (Charlotte Hall, Md./St. Mary's Ryken) placed third out of 61 golfers in the individual standings and the Yellow Jackets moved up two spots to finish fifth in the Yellow Jacket Invitational at The Hollows.

Bowling shot 76 in the second round as she did in the first for a total of 152, four shots behind medalist Liza Freed of Washington & Lee (77-71—148) and one shot from Hope Giodano of Kutztown (75-76—151).

The Yellow Jackets improved by 13 strokes from Round 1 to Round 2, matching the top reduction in the Invitational.

Junior Tracy Moriconi (Richmond, Va./St. Catherine's) and freshman Aven Oliver (Virginia Beach, Va./Norfolk Academy) tied for 19 at 168, followed by junior Rebecca Ream (York, Pa./York Country Day) at 175, sophomore Katie Raymond (Rice, Va./Fuqua) at 176 and senior Danielle Calhoun (Colonial Heights, Va./Colonial Heights) at 182.

Randolph-Macon returns to action April 11-12 at the Methodist Invitational in Fayetteville, N.C.
