Bowling Leads R-MC at Nittany Lion Invitational

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Senior Olivia Bowling (Charlotte Hall, Md./St. Mary's Ryken) topped the team and was No. 37 overall as Randolph-Macon finished eighth Sunday at the Nittany Lion Invitational.

The Yellow Jackets were the only team to improve their score in each round after shooting 330 in the third round.

Bowling also improved each round, finishing with a third-round score of 78. She finished ahead of 11 Division I golfers.

Freshman Ruby Rim (Fairfax, Va./Fairfax) was second on R-MC at 255 (87-86-82), followed by freshman Liza Lewis (Richmond, Va./Trinity) at 256 (85-86-85), senior Tracy Moriconi (Richmond, Va./St. Catherine's) at 258 (86-87-85), senior Rebecca Ream (York, Pa./York Country Day) at 260 (89-85-86) and freshman Mia Alan (Virginia Beach, Va./Kempsville).

Randolph-Macon returns to action on Sept. 19 and 20 at the NYU Invitational at Spook Rock Golf Course in Montebello, N.Y.
