FOREST, Va. - Randolph-Macon sophomore Emmy Saathoff (Catonsville, Md./Notre Dame) has been selected ODAC Player of the Week for women's golf after helping the Yellow Jackets win in match play against Bridgewater on Saturday.
R-MC faced the Eagles on the Shamokin Course at Wintergreen, the course that will be used for the 2017 ODAC Championship later this month. The teams split four matches for a 2-2 tie. Saathoff was matched up with Amanda Kelley and led by two holes with four to play. Kelley won the 15th and they tied the next two holes as they headed to 18. Saathoff sank a 10-foot putt to win the match and give the Yellow Jackets the victory.
Saathoff is fourth on the team in scoring average at 88.9 per round. In seven events, she had one Top 5 finish and a pair of Top Ten finishes.
Randolph-Macon is playing in the Greensboro Invitational today and tomorrow at the Bryan Park Players Course in Greensboro, N.C.
