R-MC Women's Swimming Places Second at ODAC Relays

LEXINGTON, Va. - The Randolph-Macon women's swimming team finished second out of 11 teams at the season-opening ODAC Relays.

The Yellow Jackets accumulated 244 points to earn the second spot.

Sophomore Lauren McCoy (Dagsboro, Del./Indian River), senior Megan Granger (Midlothian, Va./Manchester) and sophomore Kacey Pool (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch) took second in the 3 x 50 Backstroke Relay in 1:28.40.

Sophomore Abbey Crank (North Chesterfield, Va./James River), sophomore Laney Sanchez (Midlothian, Va./Clover Hill) and freshman Grace Landolt (Roanoke, Va./Hidden Valley) took third in the 3 x 50 Breaststroke Relay in 1:41.07.

Pool, Granger, junior Haylie Moore (Lexington, N.C./South Davidson) and Landolt finished third in the 500 Yard 50, 100, 150, 200 Relay in 5:09.35.

Sophomore Zoe Campbell (Annandale, Va./W.T. Woodson), junior Lindsei Hamilton (Roanoke, Va./Hidden Valley), freshman Natalia Perdomo (Stafford, Va.) and freshman Caroline Pifer (Baltimore, Md./Notre Dame) were third in the 8 x 25 Free Relay in 1:44.14.

Granger, Sanchez, Crank and Pool took fourth in the 400 Yard Free Relay in 3:56.99.

Pool, Landolt, Campbell and Granger were fourth in the 200 Yard Medley Relay in 1:59.43.

Randolph-Macon returns to action on Friday, Oct. 20 at Mary Washington at 5 p.m.
