R-MC Women's Tennis Stays Unbeaten with 9-0 Win at LC

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Junior Caitlin Delmas (Asheville, N.C./K-12 International Academy) did not lose a game as the Randolph-Macon women's tennis team posted a 9-0 victory at Lynchburg in an ODAC match Wednesday afternoon.

The Yellow Jackets improved to 7-0 overall and 3-0 in ODAC play.

Delmas won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 Singles. She teamed with sophomore Sid Corrigan (South Bend, Ind./Saint Joseph's) for an 8-0 victory at No. 1 Doubles.

Junior Kelsie Grice (Hoover, Ala./Charlotte Country Day) recorded a 6-0, 6-3 triumph at No. 1 Singles. She joined freshman Gaby Tersigni (Yorktown, Va./York) to win 8-4 at No. 2 Doubles. Tersigni was victorious at No. 4 Singles by scores of 6-0, 6-3.

Juniors Melissa Tomlin (Prince George, Va./Prince George) and Molly Jesseman (Williamsburg, Va./Warhill) had an 8-1 win at No. 3 Doubles. Tomlin registered a 6-3, 6-2 victory at No. 3 Singles, while Jesseman won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 6 Singles.

Junior Toni McDonald (Richmond, Va./Varina) earned a 6-2, 6-4 victory at No. 5 Singles.

Randolph-Macon returns to action on Friday, March 25, with a 4:30 p.m. ODAC match at Shenandoah.
