INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Randolph-Macon women's volleyball finishes heads into the NCAA Tournament ranked third in the South Region rankings. It's the highest ranking for the team in 2017.
Much of the season, the Yellow Jackets have been ranked fourth in the region, with Berry College, Emory University, Averett University and Birmingham-Southern College ranked ahead of them at different points of 2017. Randolph-Macon beat Berry (then ranked #24 by the American Volleyball Coaches Association) and Averett this season, while losing to Birmingham-Southern and Emory.
In addition to the regional ranking, R-MC has been receiving votes into the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll for much of the season. The most votes it has received was on October 31 when it received 101 votes. In the latest poll, R-MC has received 69 votes into the Top 25.
