Dr. Shannon M. Wolfe

Dr. Shannon M. Wolfe

Dr. Shannon M. Wolfe is a member of the Sports Medicine & Arthroscopy Team at Tuckahoe Orthopaedics. He received his medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. After completing his internship and residency at Akron City Hospital (now Summa Health System), he was awarded an Arthroscopic Sports Medicine fellowship at Orthopaedic Research of Virginia in Richmond. Dr. Wolfe is active in the Arthroscopy Association of North America. In addition to his practice, Dr. Wolfe has gladly accepted the responsibility of training young orthopedic surgeons at Orthopaedic Research of Virginia.

Dr. Michael Pitzer

Dr. Michael Pitzer completed his medical degree at The Pennsylvania State University and his Family Medicine residency training at The University of Maryland. He became board certified in Family Medicine in 2013. He went on to complete a Primary Care Sports Medicine fellowship at The Pennsylvania State University and became board certified in Sports Medicine in 2014. He has been with VCU Health at a community location in the West End of Richmond since 2014.

Matthew Pulisic, DPT, MS, OCS

Matt is a graduate of Randolph-Macon College with a degree in Biology and a 1990 graduate of the School of Physical Therapy at the Medical College of Virginia at VCU. In 2002 he received his Master's Degree in Orthopedic Physical Therapy also from the Medical College of Virginia. He achieved Board of Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 1996. He has conducted research publishing two articles: "Risk Factors for Plantar Fasciitis -"A Matched Case-Control Study" in the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, May 2003 and " Impact of Demographic and Impairment -Related Variables on Disability Associated with Plantar Fasciitis" in Foot and Ankle International, May 2004. Matt specializes in rehabilitation of all orthopedic and sports related injuries with a special interest in the upper and lower extremity biomechanics and orthotic fabrication. He is a clinical assistant professor at the MCV School of Physical Therapy and is the team physical therapist for Randolph-Macon College. Matt enjoys his free time with his family, coaching soccer, and baseball, and competitive cycling.

Physical Therapist specializing in Concussion Rehabilitation

Cristin Beazley, PT, DPT, CBIS

Cristin Beazley graduated in 2003 from James Madison University with her B.S in Kinesiology: Athletic Training.  She then graduated in 2006 with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the MCV/VCU Physical Therapy Program in Richmond, VA.  She has worked for the last 11 years with emphasis on Pediatrics and Neurologic Physical Therapy with a specific focus on concussion management over the last 6 years.  She is the Clinical Lead for the Total Concussion Care program at Sheltering Arms Rehabilitation Center and is the lead author of a comprehensive clinical practice guideline that is used to guide treatment.   Cristin is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist and is actively involved in clinical research.     She currently treats in an Outpatient based Physical Therapy clinic in Richmond, VA.  She enjoys spending time with her husband and two young girls, reading and playing tennis.

Dr. Tyler E. Ball '08, Team Dentist

Dr. Tyler Ball was born and raised in the small town of Honaker, Virginia. After high school he attended Randolph-Macon, where he was a member and captain of the Football team. In 2008, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Religious Studies.

Dr. Ball received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in 2013, where he received the American Academy of Implant Dentistry certificate of recognition. He is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, American Dental Association, Virigina Dental Association, and Richmond Dental Society.

Dr. Ball was married in June 2013 to his wonderful wife, Nicole '08, and they currently reside in Richmond with their daughter, Stella. He loves cooking and eating BBQ, football season, and his dog, Bea.
