ASHLAND, Va. - Randolph-Macon junior outfielder Cole Migliorini (Stafford, Va./Colonial Forge) was named All-South Region First Team by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings and sophomore second baseman Jeff Butler (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch) earned All-South Region Second Team honors.
Migliorini was previously named All-South Region First Team by D3baseball.com. Migliorini was the ODAC Player of the Year and All-ODAC First Team. He led the ODAC with a slugging percentage of .712 and was second in the conference with nine home runs and with an on-base percentage of .484. Migliorini was third in the league with a batting average of .399, fourth with 45 RBI and fifth with 47 runs. He was also in the Top Ten in the ODAC with 61 hits, 13 doubles, four triples and 26 walks. Migliorini led the Yellow Jackets with 21 multi-hit games and was second with 13 multi-RBI games. He had a 14-game hit streak during the season and had a streak of 31 consecutive games reaching base safely.
Butler was All-ODAC Third Team. Butler started 40 games for the Yellow Jackets. He was seventh in the ODAC with a batting average of .371, Butler was third in the conference with 18 stolen bases. He had an on-base percentage of .447 and slugging percentage of .523. Butler had 11 doubles, four home runs, 43 runs and 32 RBI.
Under head coach Ray Hedrick, Randolph-Macon posted an overall record of 26-15 and went 13-7 in conference play. The Yellow Jackets were the No. 3 seed in the ODAC Tournament. R-MC was in the national polls for the majority of the season, ranked as high as No. 6.
