R-MC Football Ranked #18 in Final D3football.com Poll

Uniform No. 18

ASHLAND, Va. - The Randolph-Macon football team finished No. 18 in the final D3football.com national poll.

The Yellow Jackets were receiving votes in the poll at the end of the regular season. R-MC won the ODAC title and earned the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship. The Yellow Jackets traveled to eighth-ranked John Carroll and recorded their first playoff win in program history, 23-20.

R-MC finished 9-3, tying the program record for victories in a season. The Yellow Jackets played 12 games for the first time in school history. R-MC was ranked in the D3football.com poll for the first time since the 2010 season. The Yellow Jackets were ranked in the final D3football.com poll of the season for the first time in the 16-year history of the poll. It is R-MC's highest final ranking since finishing No. 5 in the NCAA poll at the end of the 1984 season.
