GILBERT, Ariz. – Senior goalkeeper Kelsey Stanley (Bumpass, Va./Louisa Couny) will have the opportunity to play in a national senior game as announced by the coordinating organization Wednesday afternoon. Stanley is one of ten goalkeepers named to the 2017 Victory Sports Tours/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Senior Game roster. Stanley is the first Randolph-Macon player selected for the game since fellow keeper Nicole Woodworth was selected in 2012.
The game is set to be held on Saturday, November 18 at 5:00 PM at Bellarmine University in Louisville and is part of national championship festivities. The 2017 NCAA Division III Field Hockey Championship is on Sunday, November 19 at the University of Louisville.
The senior game features 72 student-athletes from across the country, including three from the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. Stanley is one of 60 student-athletes chosen as participants while another 12 are selected as alternates.
Stanley currently has 519 saves in her career, fourth-best in school history and tenth-best in conference history.
The senior has earned an All-ODAC first team selection as well as an ODAC Player of the Week recognition in her career.
