A connection had come through and she had booked a team-bonding experience unlike any other that Yellow Jacket team had been able to do before. Many Randolph-Macon teams do team outings – movie nights, ropes courses – even white-water rafting. But what Weiss had worked up would stay would likely stay with her team for years to come.

    The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced postseason honors for four Randolph-Macon field hockey student-athletes Tuesday morning. Sophomores Maria Teresa Ambrogi-Torres (Richmond, Va. / Trinity Episcopal School) and Georgia Drescher (Virginia Beach, Va. / Frank W. Cox) were recognized on the All-ODAC Second Team while fellow sophomore Claire Magill (Moseley, Va. / Trinity Episcopal School) was honored with an All-ODAC Third Team spot, as was freshman goalkeeper Gatlin Snyder (Powhatan, Va. / Powhatan).

    Randolph-Macon field hockey was slotted Saturday into the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament at the No. 5 seed. The Yellow Jackets were awarded the fifth spot after gaining a tiebreaker over No. 6 Bridgewater thanks to a 3-0 regular season win against the Eagles.
