Weaver and Saltzer Help R-MC to a Fourth-Place Finish after Day One of the Virginia Intercollegiate Championship

DANVILLE, VA – The Randolph-Macon College Men's Golf team wrapped up the first day of the 2012 Virginia Intercollegiate Championship at Danville Country Club on Saturday in fourth-place among 11 teams from around the Commonwealth.

Hunter Weaver and Robert Saltzer both scored 75 on Saturday to place 10th individually and pace R-MC's 304 score as a team.  

R-MC stands just nine shots behind the host Cougars who are in the lead after firing a 295.  Ferrum (300) is in second-place and Bridgewater is one stroke ahead of Randolph-Macon in third. 

Scott Hellmuth and Kyle Fuller both shot 77 on Saturday to stand in a tie for 21st place individually, while Andrew Farrell shot a 78.
