ASHLAND, VA -- Randolph-Macon College's Kyle Fuller won individual medalist honors as he helped the host Yellow Jackets to a second-place team finish at the 2012 Ted Keller Memorial Tournament at Hunting Hawk Golf Course in Glen Allen. Guilford College took the team title after firing a second day total of 300.
The Quakers, ranked fifth in the latest Golf World/Nike Golf Division III Coaches' Poll, rallied from a four stroke deficit to start the today, shooting a 594 over the two days, winning by 11 strokes over the host Jackets. Franklin & Marshall (609) finished third, followed by Washington and Lee (624) and Hampden-Sydney (625) rounded out the top-five.
Fuller was one of three Yellow Jackets in the top-12 on the leaderboard. Patrick Hopkins entered as an individual and carded a two-day total of 750 to tie for ninth, while Scott Hellmuth placed in a tie for 12th after a 72-79—151. Kyle Jeans finished the tournament with a 71-82—153 to finish 17th overall.
The tournament closes out the fall season for the Yellow Jackets.
