Fuller FIrst, R-MC Fifth at Tom Kinder Memorial

BRIDGEWATER, Va. – Senior Kyle Fuller (Richmond, Va./Deep Run) was tied for first out of 88 golfers after the first round of the Tom Kinder Memorial Golf Tournament Saturday at Lakeview Golf Course.

Fuller fired a three-under 69, matching the round by Brennan Lloyd of Shenandoah.

The Yellow Jackets are tied for fifth among 18 teams in the tournament. R-MC is nine strokes behind leader Roanoke.

Senior Wes Bourdon (Virginia Beach, Va./Norfolk Academy) was tied for 17th at 75, followed by freshman Kirby Struhar (Sterling, Va./Park View) at 77, freshman Peter Shaner (Lexington, Va./Rockbridge County) at 79 and senior Bobby Bradshaw (Springfield, Va./West Springfield) at 81.

The second and final round will be held on Sunday.
