As a junior (Fall ’16):  Shaner played in three events totaling six rounds during the Fall season... Shaner shot his lowest round of 74 during the Shenandoah Invitational tournament.

As a sophomore (2015-16):  Played in seven events totaling 14 rounds on the season... Shaner’s lowest round of 71 came during the Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate tournament.

As a freshman (2014-15): In his first season with the Yellow Jackets, Peter played in three events, totaling six rounds...He played in the Tom Kinder Memorial, Ted Keller Memorial Invitational and the Beruma Men's Collegiate...He shot a season-low 78 in second round of the Tom Kinder Memorial (9/14/14).

Personal: Peter attended Rockbridge County High School where he lettered in tennis and golf...Shaner helped his tennis team claim the district tournament in 2012, 2013 and 2014...For golf, Peter helped the Wildcats claim their region and advance to the state tournament in 2012 and claim the conference tournament in 2014...Peter was a two-time All-District Team selection and was named Conference 31 Player of the Year in 2014...Shaner advanced to the state tournament three times in his prep career, twice as an individual...For tennis, Shaner was the conference champion in doubles in 2014 and was the runner-up Conference 31 Player of the Year...Shaner was a member of the National Honor Society and an active member in YoungLife.
