Razzetti, R-MC Men's Golf Both First at Glenn Heath Memorial

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Senior Trey Razzetti (Glen Allen, Va./Benedictine) tied for first out of 68 individuals and helped the Randolph-Macon men's golf team sit in first out of nine teams after the first round of the Glenn Heath Memorial at the Williamsburg Club on a windy Monday afternoon.

Razzetti shot one-over 73 to match Keith Cooper of Virginia Wesleyan.

Senior Chase Childers (Issue, Md./La Plata) shot 75 and is tied for third. Freshman Ryan Fernandez (Selagor, Malaysia) was one stroke behind at 76 and tied for fifth. Junior Alex Nelson (Weems, Va./Lancaster) shot 81, followed by junior Tom Schaffer (Collegeville, Pa./Pope John Paul II) at 89.

The Yellow Jackets had three players participate as individuals. Sophomore Grant Burchette (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla./Ponte Vedra) shot 83, followed by senior Christian Fagan (Glen Allen, Va./Deep Run) at 89 and senior Patrick Dotter (Richmond, Va./St. Christopher's) at 90.

The second and final round will be played on Tuesday.
