ASHLAND, Va. – Senior Kyle Keepers (Roswell, GA / Roswell) and sophomore Ryan Tiffey (Colombia, Md. / Wilde Lake) found openings and used them, each putting three goals on the board for Randolph-Macon in a Wednesday night non-conference matchup with the Marymount (Va.) Saints. The Yellow Jackets (4-6, 0-3 ODAC) outshot the Saints 37-25, including 8-4 in the first quarter when R-MC got the first six goals on the board while shutting out the Saints (2-8, 0-1 CAC) offense. Keepers and Tiffey were just two of the four Yellow Jackets to get on the board multiple times.

Keepers got it all started with a pass from sophomore Brendan Markovic (Westminster, Md. / Winters Mill) just about a minute and a half into the game. Second later, after sophomore Dan Muller (Glen Allen, Va. / Glen Allen) secured the faceoff and it was picked up by sophomore Tyler Flora (Mechanicsville, Va. / Hanover), senior Coleman Adams (Mechanicsville, VA / St. Christopher's) scored to put the Yellow Jackets up by two.

Tiffey helped strengthen R-MC's lead. He added two goals in a row, first at 10:28 and then at 8:54. The first came off a pass from senior Miles Muncie (Midlothian, VA / Midlothian) to put R-MC up 3-0. Sophomore Colin DiSesa (Ashland, Va. / Hanover) assisted on Tiffey's second goal of the quarter, pushing the lead to four.

Senior Alex Camilliere elected to follow Tiffey's lead. Camilliere scored with 7:36 remaining in the first, sending an unassisted shot into the net. He followed in up seven minutes later with a goal as the clock winded below 20 seconds to play, scoring R-MC's sixth goal of the first quarter. The assist on Camilliere's second goal came from Tiffey.

The team's six goals in the first quarter was the biggest quarter of the season.

Tiffey kept the ball rolling in the second quarter, scoring on a pass from DiSesa with 10:08 remaining as R-MC headed into the second half with a 7-0 lead. Sophomore Andrew Hogg (Charlottesville, VA / Albemarle) scored with 10:30 left in the third quarter, marking his first goal of the season and putting R-MC up 8-0. Keepers took another shot that made it past the Marymount keeper with 2:38 remaining in the period, pushing the lead to nine.

After a Marymount score in the closing minutes of the third, R-MC went back to work in the fourth. Just over two minutes into the final frame, Keepers scored his third goal of the evening and put Randolph-Macon into double-digits.

Freshman Jimmy Hasemann (Gaithersburg, Md. / Magruder) scored his first career goal with 6:55 remaining in the fourth quarter. Adams closed out Randolph-Macon's scoring with a man-up advantage goal seconds later at 6:25 remaining, helping R-MC to its 12-1 winning score.

R-MC got strong defensive efforts from its goalkeepers, junior Chris Cerrina (Ridgewood, NJ / Ridgewood), who made 14 saves, while freshman Kyle Browne (Mount Airy, Md. / Liganore) played nearly seven minutes and had a save.

Randolph-Macon won nine of 14 faceoffs with sophomore Joe Maranto (Joppa, Md. / Fallston) securing three and sophomore Dan Muller (Glen Allen, Va. / Glen Allen) grabbing six. Flora and sophomore Ben Swavely (Downington, Pa. / Downington East) led the team in ground balls, each grabbing three. Seven different players caused turnovers, of which Marymount gave up 15 total.

Randolph-Macon has a quick turnaround before facing Virginia Wesleyan at 7:00 PM on Friday night at Day Field.
