ASHLAND, Va. - Randolph-Macon senior midfielder Kyle Keepers (Roswell, Ga./Roswell) has been selected as a United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Scholar All-American.
Keepers is one of 76 Division III players to be recognized and one of four ODAC players honored. He is the third Yellow Jacket to earn this distinction, joining Tyler Midwinder '12 and Jason Andrews '14.
An All-ODAC Second Team selection, Keepers completed his senior season with 32 goals and 12 assists to total 43 points. Additionally, he picked up 18 ground balls this season and caused three turnovers. Keepers was in the ODAC's Top 20 for goals scored and total points. Keepers concluded his career with 93 goals and 33 assists, totaling 126 points. Both career goals and career points are Top 10 marks in school history.
Earlier this month, Keepers earned his degree in Biology with a minor in Ethics. He graduated with a cumulative grade point average of 3.4.
Under head coach J.B. Sheridan, R-MC finished 10-8 overall and 5-4 in the ODAC. The Yellow Jackets finished fifth in the conference standings.
