Men's Soccer Falls to Eastern Mennonite

ASHLAND, Va. - The Randolph-Macon men's soccer team recorded 15 shots with four coming on goal in a 1-0 conference loss to Eastern Mennonite Saturday.

Senior Andrew Oakes (Fredericksburg, VA / Courtland) led the way with five shots with one coming on goal for the Yellow Jackets (2-8, 0-4 ODAC). Sophomore Sam Bowen (Collegeville, PA / The Haverford School) also recorded two shots with one coming on goal.

After a scoreless first half, the Royals (4-6-2, 1-4 ODAC) tallied the game's lone goal in the 53rd minute.

Freshman Michael Bly (Yorktown, VA / Grafton) started in goal for the Yellow Jackets and recorded one save.

The Yellow Jackets will take the field next on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at Virginia Wesleyan before returning home on Saturday, Oct. 11 for a conference contest against Emory and Henry.
