R-MC Falls 1-0 at Virginia Wesleyan

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Freshman Michael Bly (Yorktown, Va./Grafton) recorded six saves as the Randolph-Macon men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision at Virginia Wesleyan in ODAC action Wednesday evening.

Junior C.J. Montalbano (Charlottesville, Va./Albemarle) registered four saves over the final 7:24 for the Yellow Jackets (2-9, 0-5 ODAC).

The teams played a scoreless first half before the Marlins (6-3-2, 3-1-1 ODAC) scored in the 69th minute.

R-MC had 15 shots, including 10 in the first half. Junior Logan McHugh (Churchville, Md.) led the Yellow Jackets with seven shots, including two on goal. Senior Andrew Oakes (Fredericksburg, Va./Courtland) added five shots, including two on goal.

Randolph-Macon returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 2 p.m. for an ODAC home match against Emory & Henry.
