R-MC Falls at Home to H-SC

ASHLAND, Va. – Following a scoreless first half, Randolph-Macon surrendered a pair of second-half goals to Hampden-Sydney in a 2-0 loss Tuesday afternoon in ODAC men's soccer.

The Yellow Jackets (3-12, 1-8 ODAC) posted 12 shots, including three on goal. Sophomore Jacob McHugh (Churchville, Md.) had two shots, both on goal. Juniors Greg Noordanus (Leiderdorp, Netherlands/Cape Henry Collegiate), Mitchell Surkamp (Manassas, Va./Osbourn Park) and Andrew Oakes (Fredericksburg, Va./Courtland) each had two shots for R-MC.

Freshman Michael Bly (Yorktown, Va./Grafton) recorded a pair of saves for the Yellow Jackets.

R-MC held a 4-3 advantage on corner kicks.

James Lawrence netted both goals for the Tigers (9-5-1, 5-3-1 ODAC).

Randolph-Macon plays its final home match on Friday, Oct. 24 at 4 p.m. against Lynchburg to kick off Homecoming weekend.
