Breslin Tallies Seven Saves as R-MC Men's Soccer Falls 3-2 to St.Mary's (Md.)

ASHLAND, Va. – Freshman goalkeeper Brian Breslin (Fairfax, Va. / W.T. Woodson) recorded seven saves as the Randolph-Macon men's soccer team was edged 3-2 by St. Mary's (Md.) Tuesday afternoon.

The Seahawks (5-3-1) scored first in the eighth minute and found the back of the net again five minutes later to hold a 2-0 advantage.

Junior Jack Maxey (Salem, Va. / Salem) knocked in a penalty kick in the 16th minute for the Yellow Jackets (5-4). Junior Bryon Eubanks (Mechanicsville, Va. / Hanover) scored two minutes before halftime to tie the score at 2-2.

The score remained tied for most of the second half until St.Mary's (Md.) scored the game-winner on a penalty kick in the 83rd minute.

Freshman Diego Tacaraya (Richmond, Va. / James River) led the Yellow Jackets with eight shots.

R-MC returns to action at home for Family Weekend on Saturday, Oct. 3 at 3 p.m. for an ODAC contest against Randolph.
