ST. LOUIS – In its inaugural season, Randolph-Macon men's volleyball is picked to finish eighth by the coaches of the Continental Volleyball Conference. The CVC sponsors men's volleyball for 12 institutions along the East Coast for which their primary membership conference does not sponsor men's volleyball.
Head Coach Jared Horrigan has put together a roster of 13 players over the last year to be part of the Yellow Jackets' inaugural season. The team includes 10 freshmen and three upperclassmen, who have stepped into leadership roles this season: Corban Jungers (Ashland, Va./J.R. Tucker), Lee Olenyik (Mechanicsville, Va./Hanover) and Brian Stephen (Mechanicsville, Va./Hanover).
Leading the CVC poll in 2019 is Kean, last year's CVC champion and the fourth-ranked team in the country. The Cougars also got 11 of 12 first place votes. R-MC is joined by two other first-year programs and newcomers to the CVC. Immaculata will be hosting its inaugural season, while Elizabethtown joins the CVC as a first-year program as well.
Randolph-Macon will begin play for men's volleyball on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 3:00 PM in Glenside, Pa. against Misericordia as part of a tournament hosted by Arcadia University.
