  • Whittemore Selected To National Player of the Year Watchlist

    Randolph-Macon senior pitcher Candace Whittemore (Montpelier, Va. / Patrick Henry) has been recognized as a 2019 Schutt Sports/National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III National Player of the Year candidate. The list of 50 student-athletes will be pared down during the course of the season until the National Player of the Year is named. The list is compiled annually by the NFCA’s Division III All-America committee. This is the second time Whittemore has appeared on the list; last year, she was selected to the watchlist’s Top 25 grouping.

  • ODAC Coaches Pick Softball Second In Preseason Poll

    Randolph-Macon softball has been picked to finish second in the conference this season by the coaches of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. The Yellow Jackets received one first-place vote as well. The poll was released Wednesday afternoon. The poll results come on the heels of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III Top 25 poll, released this morning, which placed Randolph-Macon 11th in the country in the preseason.
  • Softball Excited To Get Started in 2019

    The R-MC Softball team reached new heights in 2018 as they finished the season with a 40-7 mark, which set a new program record for victories in a season. The Yellow Jackets reached the NCAA Tournament for the 3rd time in the past 4 years and were rewarded for their efforts with a #1 seed in the Glassboro, NJ Regional. R-MC was one of only 5 teams in the country to finish with 40 or more wins.
  • Rhoads Named Preseason All-American By FPN

    Randolph-Macon sophomore Madie Rhoads (Portsmouth, Va.) was named an Honorable Mention Preseason All-American by Fastpitch News it was announced Wednesday afternoon. Rhoads was the Division III leader for earned run average last season at 0.80.

    Randolph-Macon softball is putting the call out to alumni looking to participate in the 2018 Softball alumni game. The game will be on Saturday, October 20 at 9:00 AM and the team is looking for alumni to come back to scrimmage the current team.
