LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Randolph-Macon softball has risen a spot in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III Top 25 poll. The Yellow Jackets are ranked 21st in this week's edition of the poll, up from No. 22 in last week's version. The poll was released on Wednesday morning.

The Yellow Jackets are coming off a week where they knocked off the then-12th-ranked team in the nation, Rowan, Friday afternoon and got a pair of wins over Wilkes on Saturday.

Senior pitcher Candace Whittemore (Montpelier, Va. / Patrick Henry) was named the ODAC Pitcher of the Week for her work shutting out both Rowan and Wilkes. R-MC defeated Rowan 1-0 and Wilkes 5-0. In the nightcap against Wilkes Saturday, R-MC got a 10-0 victory in five innings, with sophomore Madie Rhoads (Portsmouth, Va. / Nansemond River) getting the win in the circle. Including a pair of wins against Rhode Island College on Monday, Randolph-Macon has not allowed a run in its last 32 innings.

Randolph-Macon will face Greensboro College at home on Sunday, March 17 at 1:00 PM.
