Bowling, R-MC Repeat as ODAC Champions

CONOVER, N.C. – Sophomore Olivia Bowling (Charlotte Hall, Md./St. Mary's Ryken) won the individual title for the second consecutive season, leading Randolph-Macon to its second straight team title at the ODAC Women's Golf Championship at the Rock Barn Golf & Spa's Jackson Course.

Bowling won by nine strokes over Elizabeth Cheng of Hollins, ranked No. 20 in Division III. Bowling fired a 77 in the third round for a total of 227 (77-73-77).

Sophomore Tracy Moriconi (Richmond, Va./St. Catherine's) was ninth at 260 (88-85-87) and freshman Jenny Jeu (Midlothian, Va./James River) was one shot behind in 10th at 261 (90-89-82). Jeu was one of three players in the field to improve her score each round.

Sophomore Rebecca Ream (York, Pa./York Country Day) was tied for 11th at 271 (92-89-90), followed by freshman Katie Raymond at 13th at 279 (92-92-95).

The Yellow Jackets, under head coach Leighann Albaugh, won by 37 shots over second-place Bridgewater. R-MC has won the ODAC title in each of its two years of existence.
