FOREST, Va.—The Randolph-Macon women's golf team is ranked No. 34 in the country according to the NCAA Division III rankings released by Golfstat.
Two other Old Dominion Athletic Conference programs are among the top-40 in the standings, released on Feb. 17. Bridgewater leads the conference teams in 13th with the defending ODAC champion Washington and Lee owning 19th place.
The two-time league champions return senior Olivia Bowling (Charlotte Hall, Md. / St. Mary's Ryken), who is ranked No. 20 in the country. Bowling is averaging 78.1 strokes per round. The two-time conference individual medalist is fourth in the league in scoring average and recorded two top-10 finishes in the fall portion of the team's schedule.
Senior Tracy Moriconi (Richmond, Va. / St. Catherine's) and freshman Ruby Rim (Fairfax, Va. / Fairfax) join Bowling in the ODAC top-10. Moriconi sits eighth, averaging 82.8 strokes with Rim following in ninth with 83.3.
Four other players are ranked within the top-25 in the ODAC. Senior Rebecca Ream (York, Pa. / York Country Day) is 12th followed by freshman Liza Lewis (Richmond, Va. / Trinity) in 16th. Sophomore Aven Oliver (Virginia Beach, Va. / Norfolk Academy) and Mia Alan (Virginia Beach, Va. / Kemspville) are No. 19 and No. 21, respectively, on the ODAC leaderboard.
Randolph-Macon will begin its spring campaign March 18-19 at the Jekyll Island Invitational on the Indian Mound Golf Course in Jekyll Island, Ga. The Yellow Jackets will host the Max and Susan Stith Invitational March 26-27 at the Hollows Golf Club in Montpelier, Va.
