MONTPELIER, Va. – Senior Olivia Bowling (Charlotte Hall, Md./St. Mary's Ryken) topped 44 individual golfers and helped the Randolph-Macon women's golf team post a second-place finish on Easter Sunday at the Max and Susan Stith Invitational at The Hollows Golf Course.
Bowling shot one-over 73 in Round 2 after firing a 75 in Round 1 for a two-round total of 148 to finish four shots ahead of second-place Alessandra Bertacche of Marymount. Bowling's second-round 73 was the low round of the two-day tournament.
Senior Rebecca Ream (York, Pa./York Country Day) took third at 154 (77-77), followed by senior Tracy Moriconi (Richmond, Va./St. Catherine's at 164 (86-78), junior Katie Raymond (Rice, Va./Fuqua) at 164 (79-85), freshman Mia Alan (Virginia Beach, Va./Kempsville) at 177 (82-95), freshman Liza Lewis (Richmond, Va./Trinity) at 182 (88-94), freshman Katelyn Jordan (Virginia Beach, Va./Kellam) at 200 (105-95) and freshman Emmy Saathoff (Catonsville, Md./Notre Dame) at 210 (121-89).
Randolph-Macon returns to action April 9-10 at the Methodist Invitational in Fayetteville, N.C.
