ASHLAND, Va. – Chris Haas, the former Director of Golf at Ford’s Colony Country Club in Williamsburg, Va., has been named the head women’s golf coach at Randolph-Macon College.
A PGA of America Class “A” Professional, Haas worked at Ford’s Colony from 2013-15. He oversaw the entire golf operation of the 54-hole facility and its 60 staff members. Haas served as Tournament Director for 250 annual events, including 150 member events and 100 outside events. He was responsible for the onsite Golf Teaching Academy and started the Junior Golf Program.
From 2008-12, Haas was an assistant golf professional at The Country Club of Virginia in Richmond. Prior to that, Haas served as assistant golf professional and golf concierge at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Jupiter, Fla., from 2005-08.
While studying Business Management at Adrian College in Michigan, Haas was a member of the football, baseball and golf teams. He has coached football, basketball and baseball at the high school level on and off since 1992.
Haas and his wife, Andrea, live in Richmond with their two daughters.
