ASHLAND, Va. – Sophomore Emily Plowman (Chesapeake, Va./Oscar Smith) contributed to three firsts and one second as the Randolph-Macon women's swimming team thumped Greensboro 115-43 Saturday afternoon.
Plowman was part of two victorious relay teams: 200 Medley and 200 Free. She took first in the 200 Back in 2:23.19 and second in the 50 Free in 26.48.
Freshmen Amanda Bengston (Warrenton, Va./Faquier) and Rachel Samuelson (Chapel Hill, N.C./Chapel Hill) both contributed to three firsts. Bengston won the 100 Breast in 1:14.91 and the 200 Breast in 2:48.26. She helped the Yellow Jackets win the 200 Medley Relay.
Samuelson took first in the 200 Fly in 2:23.68 and 100 Fly in 1:04.43. She was also part of the victorious 200 Medley Relay.
Sophomore Sierra Collins (Ronda, N.C./Salem Academy) was part of two firsts and two seconds. She won the 100 Free in 58.17 and helped the Yellow Jackets win the 200 Free Relay. Collins was second in the 200 Free in 2:08.33 and 100 Breast in 1:16.45.
Freshman Megan Granger (Midlothian, Va./Manchester) had two firsts and a third. She won the 200 Free in 2:06.37 and 500 Free in 5:38.49. Granger was third in the 50 Free in 27.47.
Junior Rachel Leigh (Richmond, Va./Mills Godwin) also had two firsts and a third. She won the 100 Back in 1:05.51 and helped R-MC win the 200 Free Relay. Leigh was third in the 100 Free in 58.58.
Senior Jordan McConnell (Virginia Beach, Va./Indian River) had a first and two seconds on Senior Day. She won the 200 IM in 2:27.41. McConnell was second in the 200 Fly in 2:25.74 and in the 100 Fly in 1:07.56.
Randolph-Macon will participate in the ODAC Championships on Feb. 13-15 in Greensboro, N.C.
