ASHLAND, Va. - Sophomore Kata Kylliainen (Towson, Md./Loch Raven) won the 1000 Free as the Randolph-Macon women's swimming team fell 150-55 to Mary Washington Saturday afternoon.
Kylliainen finished the 1000 Free in 11:10.89. She was fourth in the 100 Free in 58.65. Kylliainen teamed with freshman Lauren McCoy, senior Sierra Collins (Ronda, N.C./Salem Academy) and freshman Kacey Pool (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch) to place second in the 200 Free Relay in 1:46.34.
Junior Savannah Pierce (Virginia Beach, Va./Princess Anne) took second in the 1000 Free in 11:36.97. She was fourth in the 50 Free in 27.29.
Freshman Laney Sanchez (Midlothian, Va./Clover Hill) took second in the 200 Free in 2:04.04. She was third in the 100 Breast in 1:13.88. Sanchez joined McCoy, freshman Zoe Campbell (Annandale, Va./W.T. Woodson) and Pool to place second in the 200 Medley Relay.
Campbell finished third in the 400 IM in 5:03.51. She was fourth in the 100 Fly in 1:03.19.
Freshman Abbey Crank (North Chesterfield, Va./James River) was third in the 100 Free in 57.98.
Sophomore Lindsei Hamilton (Roanoke, Va./Hidden Valley) took third in the 500 Free in 5:44.71.
McCoy was fourth in the 100 Back in 1:04.07.
Randolph-Macon will host St. Mary's on Friday, Nov. 4 at 5 p.m.
