HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. - Freshman Lauren McCoy contributed to three event victories as the Randolph-Macon women's swimming team captured each event in a 133-39 victory over Sweet Briar on Friday evening.
McCoy won the 50 Free in 29.61. She joined junior Antonia Douglas (Chesterfield, Va./Cosby), freshman Zoe Campbell (Annandale, Va./W.T. Woodson) and freshman Laney Sanchez (Midlothian, Va./Clover Hill) to win the 200 Medley Relay to open the meet. She teamed with Haylie Moore (Lexington, N.C./South Davidson), Douglas and sophomore Lindsei Hamilton (Roanoke, Va./Hidden Valley) to finish the meet by taking the 200 Free Relay in 1:35.39.
Freshman Abbey Crank (North Chesterfield, Va./James River) recorded a pair of victories, finishing first in the 400 IM in 5:33.30 and first in the 100 Breast in 1:20.46.
Campbell won the 100 Fly in 1:10.21.
Sanchez also won the 100 Free in 1:03.79.
Junior Megan Granger (Midlothian, Va./Manchester) finished first in the 800 Free in 10:25.18.
Junior Savannah Pierce (Virginia Beach, Va./Princess Anne) was victorious in the 400 Free in 5:02.65.
Sophomore Kata Kylliainen (Towson, Md./Loch Raven) won the 200 Free in 2:17.24.
Freshman Kacey Pool (Chesapeake, Va./Western Branch) finished first in the 100 Back in 1:11.17.
Randolph-Macon returns to the pool on Saturday, Nov. 19, at 2 p.m. at Marymount.
