WINCHESTER, Va.—Following a recent loss to conference rival Washington & Lee, the Randolph-Macon volleyball team looked to advance their conference record to 2-1. R-MC finished their first match of the day 3-0 against the Hornets of Shenandoah University 25-16, 25-14, 28-26.

Courtney Lowers (Suffolk, VA) led the team in kills with 9 on 19 attempts.  Senior Hillary Jessee (Warm Springs, VA) and sophomore Katie Rossberg (Crozet, VA) both added 8 kills during the match. Libero Marli Dabareiner (Hardy, VA) led both teams in digs with 24.

The Jackets (8-4, 2-1 ODAC) out-blocked the Hornets 5-4 with help from senior middle hitter Tori Puryear (Madison, VA) who had 3 blocks. R-MC averaged a .194 hitting percentage over Shenandoah's .047 percent.

Randolph-Macon continues match play in Winchester against Catholic at 1:00 PM.
