Five Jackets Named All-ODAC

FOREST, Va.—As the ODAC Volleyball Championship Tournament wrapped-up this past weekend, five Yellow Jackets were named to the All-ODAC teams.

Senior middle-hitter Tori Puryear (Madison, VA / Madison) received First Team All-ODAC honors for her efforts. In 103 sets, Puryear recorded 226 kills, averaging 2.19 kills per set. Her .283 hitting percentage was good enough for 7th in the conference. This season she was 2nd in the ODAC for total blocks (100), averaging 0.97 blocks per set. Puryear also received Player of the Week honors this year. This season marks her third consecutive All-ODAC season.

Sophomore Courtney Lowers (Suffolk, VA / Nasmond River) was also named First Team All-ODAC. Lowers played in 101 sets and finished with 265 kills (9th in the ODAC), averaging 2.62 kills per set. She recorded a .294 hitting percentage (5th in the ODAC) and 58 blocks. Lowers has been awarded All-ODAC honors in both her collegiate seasons.

Senior libero Marli Dabareiner (Hardy, VA / North Cross) was the third Jacket named to the First Team All-ODAC Team. This season is Dabareiner’s fourth consecutive All-ODAC season. In 98 sets, she recorded 476 digs, averaging 4.86 digs per set and leads the conference in total digs. She is also 3rd on the team in service aces (31). Dabareiner finished her Randolph-Macon career with 1,838 total digs; good enough for the All-Time record.

Senior outside-hitter Hillary Jessee (Warm Springs, VA / Bath County) was named to the Third Team All-ODAC Team for her accomplishments. Jessee finished with 200 kills (1.94 kills per set) and a .225 hitting percentage. She is 9th in the ODAC in total blocks with 76 (0.74 blocks per set). Sophomore Katie Rossberg (Crozet, VA / Western Albemarle) was also named Third Team All-ODAC. In 101 sets, Rossberg notched 249 kills, averaging 2.47 kills per set. She also finished with 273 digs (2.70 digs per set).
