Lowers Lands 15 Kills as R-MC Falls to No. 2 Emory

ROME, Ga. – Junior Courtney Lowers (Suffolk, Va./Nansemond River) had 59 total attacks and 22 kills as Randolph-Macon dropped a four-game match to second-ranked Emory Saturday in the Berry Invitational.

The Eagles (1-0) took the opening game 25-23 and won Game 2 by a score of 25-14. The Yellow Jackets (1-1) pulled out Game 3 27-25 before Emory put the match away with a 25-15 victory in Game 4.

Freshman Samantha Salade (Newport News, Va./Peninsula Catholic) led all players with 17 digs. Junior Riley Martin (Crozet, Va./Western Albemarle) paced R-MC with 12 assists.
