As a junior (’16): Played in 31 matches for the Yellow Jackets at OH recording 277 kills with 2.52 K/S and 37 service aces, 303 digs, and 16 total blocks… She led the team in reception percentage… McGilvery was awarded All-ODAC Second Team Honors.
As a sophomore (2015): McGilvery played in 30 matches in her second season for the Yellow Jackets...She recorded 72 kills, 94 digs, 14 blocks and 11 service aces...She recorded a season-high 13 kills against Eastern Mennonite (9/18) and notched a double-double with 10 kills and 14 digs against St. Mary's (Md.) (9/19).
As a freshman (2014): McGilvery appeared in 40 sets in 20 matches in her first season as an outside hitter for the Yellow Jackets...She tallied 35 kills (seventh on the team), one assist against Guilford (9/20), 50 digs with a season-high 10 against Eastern Mennonite (10/15), and nine blocks...Rebecca was named to the ODAC All-Academic Team for her accomplishments in the classroom.
Personal: McGilvery comes to the Yellow Jackets having garnered several awards in her high school career. Rebecca contributed to the Kettle Run Evergreen District Championship team as a 1st Team All-Conference and 2nd Team All-State player. Off the court, she was a member of NHS. Rebecca intends to pursue a major in Engineering Physics here at Randolph-Macon.
